Support of a Landcare Coordinator
CHRL offers the support of a Landcare Coordinator officer to assist members and the general public with their natural resource management activities. It is the Coordinators role to support Landcare sites and their members, help Landcare members get
access to financial assistance for projects, practical assistance, and education and training to help you understand how to address environmental problems more effectively.
Financial Support for Environmental Problems
CHRL offers information and access to a large range of funding sources available to assist Landcare groups carry out projects to address natural resource management issues.
CHRL provides Insurance free of charge to any volunteer listed in a Landcare group.
Access to Facilities and Resources
CHRL also provides free tools and equipment for weeding and planting.
In addition we provide a library with pamphlets, books, videos and other resources, a public and central meeting place for volunteers and groups and free and/or subsidized use of office equipment.
Joining the Landcare network
Becoming part of the Landcare network helps you to meet other people addressing similar issues to you. You can learn from the experiences of other Landcare groups, can access support from government agencies more readily and become better informed
about natural resource management. This may be through:
- Attending Landcare meetings and conferences
- Landcare field Days and Training events
- Receiving the Landcare Newsletter ‘Beach to Bush News’ and other Landcare information material.
