All site volunteers must become a member of Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare before they can commence work. This will ensure that you are covered by our insurance if you have an injury. To become a member you must complete a CHRL Member form 2017-2018 and submit it to the CHRL office with your membership fee .
The CHRL membership year coincides with the financial year. Subscription renewals are due by the 1st July each year. Members wishing to renew their membership are required to complete a CHRL Member form 2017-2018 and submit it to the CHRL office along with their subscription (currently $5 for 2017/2018 year). Where volunteers work together at a site the site contact person/s are requested to collect membership renewal fees from volunteers at the site.
Please note that the CHRL Code of Conduct is on the reverse side of the Member Application Form. Individuals wishing to become CHRL members, or renew their membership are required to abide by the Code of Conduct.
Incorporated Organisations may apply to become a member group of CHRL. Contact the CHRL office for an Incorporated Organisation Application Form.
Record of hours worked
Members are required to keep a record of the volunteer hours they put in at their work site. These figures are collated at the CHRL office and are a useful guide to the value of volunteer hours to our organisation and the environment. The figures are reported to funding bodies such as Coffs Harbour City Council and North Coast Local land Services, and may be used as “in-kind” contribution when applying for grants. Log books for each approved worksite are available from the CHRL office. The log books should record all work hours for the entire year and need to be completed and submitted to the CHRL office at the end of each financial year.
